Ad Age, a leading global source of marketing and media community, has published a study “Ad Age Social Media Facts 2016” about the state of Social Media ad in 2016. The study has revealed that Facebook is still leading Social Media landscape, Mobile ad spent is growing and Social Media users age 18-24 are more engaged on Social Media platforms.
Unique visitors include all desktop users aged 2 and up and all mobile users ages 18 and up and visited the networks at least once in June 2016. 84,3% of users are using mobile and 72,3% are using desktop on Facebook; 98,8% of users are using mobile on Snapchat.
90% of Social Media users over 18 years are using Facebook, followed by LinkedIn (56%), Instagram (51,9%) and Twitter (48,7%).
35-44 (93,1%) and 45-54 (88,8%) of Facebook users are better reached by brands, 25-34 (71,9%) of social media are more active on LinkedIn, 25-34 (75,4%) are engaged on Instagram.
Facebook still continues to increase and stabilizes his ad revenue in dollars billions from year to years ( 67,1% in 2014; 69,1% in 2015; 67,1% in 2016).
U.S. Social Media ad spending on mobile are increasing each year [56% in 2015, 58% in 2016,). A forecast of 65% in 2017 and 74% in 2018.
